How is awarded these diploma's : "Best Continental WLOTA Expeditions"
In both cases, there is only one diploma per year.
The selection is made from expeditions validated between January 1st of the current year and January 31st of the following year.
These diplomas are awarded between February 15th and March 15th of each year.
The committee may also decide to don't send a diploma if it considers that there is no difficulty (example: an expedition to a Capital of a country! and other cases which will not be given here)
Among the criteria we consider:
The athletic challenge: Expedition to a difficult location.
The technological challenge: Equipment, antennas, everything we can see in the photos you send us.
The OM challenge: The validation request (time between the end of the expedition and the validation request), validation photos, a photo of the QSL card with the WLOTA number and WLOTA logo. Anything that demonstrates the OM spirit. An expedition request dollars for a QSL will not necessarily be accepted, especially since there are currently many options for transmitting a QSL.
An OM who completes several WLOTA expeditions in the same continent in the same year with the same call sign has every chance of being awarded a diploma.
Cost of diploma :
These diplomas are awarded free of charge.
